How to Figure Out Your Kids’ Soccer Age Group?
Here’s how to crunch the numbers: subtract your player’s birth year from the end of the seasonal year.
That gives you the age group!
Let’s say your kid was born in 2016.
Season Year – Birth Year = Age Group
2026 (Season Year) – 2016 (Birth Year) = 10 (Age Group)
Age Group = U10
So, if you were born in 2016:
You would play in the U10 age group for the 2026 season. No matter if your birthday is in January or December.
However, since there is no U10 age group available, you would move up to the next age group. So in this case, you would be playing in U11.
